Thea & Neil live in Emerald, western Queensland. Their wedding however will be held on Thea's family property near Winton, in Outback Queensland. Whilst their wedding celebration will take place in the cooler month of June later in 2014, the only time they were able to schedule time off work to go out to the property for a look around, was during the Christmas holiday period.
The day we went out, it was like we were heading into an open oven. It was 46 degrees celcius - & it was late afternoon - not even midday! The heat was just rolling off of the sun & beating down onto the bitumen! When we left town at about 5:30pm, we couldn't see the horizon for the waves distorting the view!... And the flies! They were out in the millions too! I was very concerned about how these two would handle it.
As it turned out, I really had no reason to worry :-) Mother nature was out to play with us that day & show us what the district had to offer, & you know what? They took it all in their stride & acted like their was not a care in the world! I love these two!!! :)
I mean seriously, they were so very casual about it all, & so, so sweet, they are officially my two new favourite people :)
This couple are 100% in love...& it shows. I'm sure they barely noticed all the wild & wonderful that was around, as they seemed to be in a bubble built only for them - it was super cute to watch!
In our two hours that we took for our photo session, they had extreme dismal heat, then rain - complete with rainbow - plus flies by the droves, whopping wind & dust storm, then calmer cool breezes, then found a half full dam to let the fur babies have a swim in (which was so inviting of an idea that they jumped in too), a fox had a visit, & Neil blew a thong...did I mention the flies??? The whole two hours, they smiled, flirted & kissed like it was nobodies business...I can't wait for JUNE :)
