I absolutely adore country weddings! They're always full of good people, good vibes, & good food :) This wedding was like that, only MORE.
I say more, because the generosity of the people involved with this made absolutely every part of this day...MORE. Rachael & Anthony have the most amazing network of friends & family, without which, there would not have been as much attention to detail as was evident on their wedding day.
Picture this: their home is a living, breathing, working cattle station on the edge of the Outback. They only had a couple of months to organise it all. They are in the middle of one of Australia's biggest droughts, which means for the duration of the planning, the groom was often at the other end of the state, Rachael works AND has their kids to tend to also.
Now their home, it's not far out of town ~ only 20kms ~ but taking into consideration the logistics of actually HAVING the celebration on the family property, it is still quite far. All that food, the booze, the seating, decorations, toilets & more had to be brought in from somewhere else. A parking lot needed to be created, so the slasher had to be pulled out to carve a safe spot nearby. As dry as it was, a big water tanker was brought in to wet down the dusty roads & surrounding countryside so that dinner didn't end up containing a mini dust storm on the meat. The detail was simply stunning! They had no "event planner" to speak of, but Anthony's sister Rae, & a team of highly organised family & friends got together & put every single item in its place. Whatever Rachael so desired, that's what her network put in! Such is the COMMUNITY of this absolutely adorable couple. There ~ in the middle of nowhere ~ this past Easter saw Rachael & Anthony's big fat country wedding go off without a hitch!
Their wedding was so full of fabulous 'bits' that I really should be doing two separate blogs for it, but for the sake of the essence that is time, I am putting up some very random shots that were taken on this day...there were so many that I'm surprised I managed to edit it down to this many, even though it may be one of the longest blogs in wedding photo history & I've no doubt I've missed popping in still plenty of details & moments :) Congratulations to an absolutely lovely couple, & their amazing family. This is a Union that was utterly meant to be.
